Nike Free Trainer 3.0
Set to launch in early 2013, the Nike Free Trainer 3.0 represents the culmination of Nike’s pursuit of advanced performance technology for multi-sport athletes, originally taking the form of the Nike Air Trainer 1 in 1987. Harnessing stability and comfort through a minimalist design, the Nike Free Trainer 3.0 weighs in at just 9 ounces, featuring a mesh upper designed with enforced polyurethane support that made with flexible strand-like lines. Known as Kirum, the pliable material creates a pattern that’s supportive, lightweight and breathable. A Dynamic Fit system cradles the midfoot while providing a superior lockdown fit, while the Phylon midsole provides lightweight, responsive cushioning. The outsole rates a 3.0 on the Nike Free rating scale, resulting in greater multidirectional flexibility that allows for barefoot-like training.
