Set high amongst the tree tops at Soneva Kiri resort in Thailand, guests have the chance to dine in their very own nest. Adventurous diners fasten a leather seatbelt and get hoisted 16 feet into the native massang trees, where there are spectacular aerial views of the surrounding beaches. “Flying servers” get around around taking a much more acrobatic approach, as they zipline down to the platform below.

The restaurant’s dishes comes predominantly from the resort’s organic gardens or locally from the island. Moreover, the hotel tries to keep the whole setup eco-friendly, with no bolts or attachments being used on the massang trees.

A night for two at Soneva Kiri starts at $950 and includes scheduled air transfers, three daily meals, alcoholic beverages, WiFi, and laundry service. [Read more...]

1.) Buy Dry In Bulk – You can buy in bulk for beans and legumes, grains and breakfast cereals, nuts and seeds, dried fruits, syrups and oils, flour and baking ingredients.

2.) Say No To Soft Drinks – Simple alternative: water.

3.) Buy Organic – Buy organic on produce that makes the dirty dozen. If you have to, it’s okay to buy conventional for the rest (see also: the clean fifteen).

4.) Frozen Veggies – Canned veggies lose nutrients, so choose frozen and you won’t have to worry about them going bad.

5.) Shop The Farmer’s Market – You end up cutting out the middle man and benefitting from farmers looking to make deals directly with consumers.

Yep, they are real ants! Andrey Pavlov, a Moscow-based photographer, spends hours constructing the scenes for these photographs.

I used to work in theatre which was a big help when it came to making props, and I chose ants because I respect them and their way of life,” Pavlov said, according to The Daily Mail. “They care about their children and look after the elderly. They have lived for millions of years.”

According to International Business Times, Pavlov doesn’t use any digital effects on his photos. He uses a macro lens to take close-up photos of ants in fairytale-like settings, from sewing to “weightlifting.”

This track is off of  Locke Kaushal’s last project- “A Drunken Man’s Words”. In 1964, Malcolm X gave a speech @ Oxford University in England, & in this particular song, Locke ripped his speech, chopped it up, & made it the hook (thus the title, Oxford 64). The video itself is black & white (to give it that antique feel), & incorporates different civil rights clips, as well as modern clips to help tell the story throughout the track.  [Read more...]

A couple months ago, I went to Inglewood and linked up with LA La Brea (kids center) to pick up some trash around the center…it was beautiful. I got a chance to talk with the kids about keeping there environment clean…they had fun as you can tell. (I just wanted to share that) B.
