Check out these spray painted birds by Brazilian artist L7m. The mix of realism that morphs into more frenetic strokes of spray paint is really fun. Some of the photos you see here were taken on the streets, while others are works on canvas.

Unlike its biggest competitor, the Sony Playstation 4 ($400) isn’t a one-room-entertainment system. Sure, it has all the things we expect from a next-generation console: a blazing-fast processor, lots of memory, and killer graphics (thanks to an 8-core x86 chip and 8 GB of GDDR5 RAM). And it has all the video services you’d expect, though it won’t connect to your cable, or respond to gestures and voice commands. But it does have something, in addition to the cheaper price point, that Playstation fans and maybe some converts will love. Sony places none of the restrictions on used games that its competitor enforces, and it doesn’t require you to be online to play. We like that a lot.

A fan of Nike Air Max, designer Joost Goudriaan created the shoes out of delicious, delicious chocolate. Details on the chocolate sneakers are impressive; you can even see the thread and sewing that would go with the shoes. Goudriaan has made two variants of the shoes, one from milk chocolate and the other from white chocolate with a pure chocolate sole. Perhaps it is the color, but the details are much better visible in the brown chocolate shoe. The sculptures are a series of ten unique variations, each at Air Max size 10. The unusual shape of the banana pool table has to be a little bit of a challenge and a departure from the usual for regular pool players. Its value beyond a novelty is debatable, but we are sure most players won’t mind trying a hand on this one. Banana pool table is the work of designer Cléon Daniel who completed the table with the help of a retired carpenter. For a more detailed look [Read more...]

(Via)Belgian artist and illustrator Stefaan De Croock aka Strook pressure washed this awesome piece on a mossy wall outside of the STUK art center in Leuven. The non-destructive mural is all that more impressive considering it was done completely improvised without a sketch for reference, and it was the first time he’d used pressurized water to boot.
