American designer Harry Allen has created the Pipeline seating for Dune.
Allen wsa inspired by the industrial rooftops in New York and Paris. The system is composed of cylinders, connectors and angle joints that turn up at the ends to form table tops.
Harry Allen’s Pipeline design is a brilliant solution to the challenging seating requirements that any public space may require. It consists of four upholstered pipe-shaped components that when combined can create endless configurations of group-seating. There is a 4’ pipe, a cross connector, t-connector and elbow that also curves up to become a table with a recessed wood top. These parts join together with the leg or wall mounted supports which enable Pipeline to continue on infinite directions and shapes. The pipe parts are upholstered with polyurethane foam over an MDF and solid wood frame. The legs are in polished aluminum. (Dune)
