Known for his photography, French artist JR has decided to release a very influential book. Here is a description:
“Guerilla street artist JR traveled to Sierra Leone, Liberia, Sudan, Kenya, Brazil, India, and Cambodia to seek out women struggling in their everyday lives and, in his words, “to take their stories around the world.” Pasting mural-size portraits of his subjects into their own communities—on the sides of buildings, on trains, on bridges—he brings a haunting human presence to harsh environments of social conflict. His photographs of the vast outdoor “exhibitions” that he creates are iconic images celebrating the worth of the individual. A beautifully illustrated account of this remarkable project, Women Are Heroes introduces JR’s thrilling imagery of the modern landscape filled with human faces, and also includes his original photographic portraits paired with interviews in which the women share their lives and dreams.

With macro photography I escape to another little world. I love exploring the tiny details in nature that often get over looked. I love finding beautiful colours and abstract compositions within nature and can even get passionate about photographing moss or a blade of grass.
I think I am at my happiest when I am crawling around on my hands and knees exploring a small patch of moss dripping with sparkling dew in the early morning sun.

“The hyperrealistic images [in this post] are, in fact, drawings made by Scotland-based artist Paul Cadden. Cadden’s incredible skill captures an intense vision even beyond the capabilities of photography. Whether drawing water droplets, billowing cigarette smoke or creating dusty forehead wrinkles, the artist carefully lingers over every detail. Through this act, his textures, subjects and scenes come to life, evoking an artistic intensity that arguably transcends that of an image captured in an instant by a camera. Cadden, who states on his website his goal to “intensify the normal,” creates a world where every detail is seen, realized and appreciated. We wish real life were a little more like this, don’t you?” -Source
