Inflatable Solar Panels Zip Together To Power Most Anything

This lightweight, inflatable solar panel concept brings renewable energy access to any building and without that pesky renovation.
Each eye-shaped piece has a white foam shell that measures 4 feet by 2.5 feet. Inside the foam housing is an inflatable polymer lined with thin-film solar cells printed on mylar. The pieces can then zip together for a variety of configurations.
In lieu of costly renovation for conventional panels, the configurable pieces would provide easy solar-power access to most any building . The foam housings can be strung with wire or structural tubing to meet the needs of any structure.
The pieces could also be used for completely off-grid temporary structures.

Z-House by Hohyun Park + Hyunjoo Kim

Korean architects Hohyun Park and Hyunjoo Kim have designed the Z-House.The site is located at Gwangju Si, Gyeonggi-Do, where is 30Km away from center of seoul. Surrounded by small houses, it is at the top of a hill with deep slope. First thing to consider is to keep woods on west side of the site. Available area of the site is limited by the woods. Facing a view of mountains on south side, the building is located.
Shape of the building is planned to follow the space scenario and roof, which is covered by black zinc is wrapping around upper level mass and form a homogeneous and muscular shape. Contrarily, lower level masses, which are covered by basalt, stand rigidly. Water pond and inner plant space are inserted at the crossing point of lower level mass and upper level mass.

SOLAR FOREST….DOPE

Designer Neville Mars has created a charging station that keeps your car both cool and charged.
Called the Solar Forest, the panels actually follow the sun throughout the day for maximum efficiency. And that canopy provides some much needed shade for the cars below, hopefully while keeping the overlap to a minimum.
The tree trunks are like a giant power strips for electric vehicles. Cars can just plug in and cool off.
