FRED LEBAIN

fred_lebain_2Fred Lebain visited New York during last spring and photographed different locations. Then he printed out some large details, returned to those spots and made new photos of the prints aligned to the locations. It’s a very simple idea, but the idea is very nice.

  1. The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

  2. The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

  3. I’ve been reading a few posts and really and enjoy your writing. I’m just starting up my own blog and only hope that I can write as well and give the reader so much insight.

  7. Hey there, I’m using Edubuntu Linux 8.2 and the Dillo 2.0 web browser, and your site looks rather up. Might want to look into it. c-ya!

  8. I was reading something else about this on another blog. Interesting. Your perspective on it is diametrically contradicted to what I read to begin with. I am still reflecting over the various points of view, but I’m inclined to a great extent toward yours. And no matter, that’s what is so superb about advanced democracy and the marketplace of ideas online.
